Trying out Seche Vite’s, Seche Plus, in place of OPI’s Nail Envy. Both are buildable nail strengtheners, which you layer every other day for about a week.
Seche Plus applies thickly, like it’s top coat sister polish, but it does so with a lot of bubbles and texture. I found applying Seche’s top coat over the top, helped the look and certainly the texture.
I would approximate, that it took 48 hours to truly feel the hardness and strength in my nails, compared to the 12-24 hours of OPI’s Nail Envy.
However, Seche Plus does strengthen the nails more in my opinion. My nails, which are naturally strong, feel hard but not brittle.
I likely won’t purchase again, as it does not play nicely as a base coat for colour polish - but I shall see out the bottle and review it’s long term effects.
In closing, Seche Plus is a good strengthener and even better when paired with the same brand top coat. But I would only recommend it to those who prefer nude nails.
For the painted ladies and gentlemen, stick with Nail Envy ;)
